Volume Gain When Other Tracks Are Muted

So i am running several tracks (about 10)…
when i solo them… the solo track slowly gets louder like a release of a compression envelope

when i unmute the tracks one by one and add them to the soloed track, the volume decreases, they get more and more quiet as i add tracks…

if i switch from 1 track to all tracks (like slamming them back in after a break)… the audio drops quickly and sounds muted.

thought i was possibly clipping so i lowered the gains of each track to -20db, and still get the same effect.
is there some hidden limiter function??
i have tried the ‘auto adjust’ button by the master slider at the top of the GUI and still get the same effect?

i have produced tracks on earlier versions of renoise and did not have the same problem??? any ideas?

thanks.

can you post an example xrns? i like to test this here

Sure there’s nothing on your master?

i´m not sure, but maybe your sound/audiocard has a problem, have you tryed this with other tunes ?

yup… thats the problem…
i have been tracking on my laptop and didnt even think about using a different soundcard…
i updated the drivers on my lexicon alpha and it fixed the problem…

the police broke in and stole my desktop because my roomate was selling weed, so i have to suffer… i just want to produce some electro…

thanks.
