Well I know raves aren`t welcome in most countries, but this thing is really strange:
One Utah official was quoted as saying:
“The prophet Joseph Smith and his 33 wives would disapprove of such mormon debauchery!”
Sounds really freaked out to me. Even if it were illegal, why would they bust the party with a chopper and swat team or whatever it was? 
A few years ago I was at a club where news reported of a huge razzia the next day. I didn’t notice anything during the night. They had a couple of policemen without uniform arresting 40 people by just walking them out from the club. Seems like the right way to do it if they only want to tackle the drug posession problem. But that was all legal of course.

This bait & switch permit game has been played many times before, and now with the SINGLE firearm they confiscated (was on the person of the son of the property owner, who unfortunately was drunk) and the ‘drugs’ they confiscated they have the headlines they needed for Bush’s visit today:

There is no ‘anti-techno force’ in America and especially not in Germany. There are plenty of technoparties/Raves. Big huge one in Berlin, Munich, and Denver.
I think the police chief in Utah was very crazy, and i’m sure there will be serious retaliation against him. (there are too many lawyers in America for him to get away with that.) 
Problem was ‘drugs’ maybe. Ecstacy and Meth. Lot of people dehydrate and die. It’s stupid, people can’t just enjoy the music, they got to overdose on too many drugs. (they think one pill isn’t enough, they take two or three, and don’t drink water)
Sad that Police busted a technoparty. the should have busted a hip-hop party. There’s more drugs and guns there.
