I mean… I’d like to know what softwares can slice loops by a grid setting. For example exact 16th notes hits. I know Recycle2 does this, but it doesn’t support all the sample formats so before converting all my samples on the hardrive I’m thinking i’d ask you guys if you know any other software out there that could manage this?
I am using a very old software doing exactly what you need, which is shareware and fully working without having to register (only SCSI export and .rex load/save is missing, I don’t care about that).
Problem is, I can’t remember the name, my music-PC blew up a week ago and I won’t get my new one until next week … If you can wait that long I will check for you.
I think the renoise developers would be interested to check this software out since this soft has many features that renoise would benefit of.
Such as the loop slicing on exact measures (could be somehow merged with the 900, 910, 920, etc. command) Also the ability to edit only left and right channels if brought to renoise would be really useful…
Not sure if I’m alone with this stuff though… I like to make the drum sounds by myself from the original stuff sampled from vinyl and am looking this program from a point of view of a oldschool trackerer & long time cubase user, and since a lot of peple use readily processed loops - maybe there is no need for more evolved sample editor than it already is…
