Hey people, I know this may sound weird, but I really need to know this: what was the last book you read FOR FUN? [such as action, fiction books]
Please answer, it will be SO important for me.
Last one was The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy. Currently reading Great Expectations by Charles Dickens but it is taking me a long time, just can’t get in to it like I do with most.
I’d have to look at my Amazon history to be sure of dates and such, but a few things I read in the not-so-distant past for fun:
The Gold Coast, byNelson DeMille. This is a terrible book. A quarter of the way in and nothing interesting happens, except for the main character being a unlikable smartass. I gave up; life is too short to read crap.
Since DeMille had the balls to compare his work to The Great Gatsby I decided to re-read that book. Still solid.
Also read Hactivity (http://hacktivitycomic.com/) by Ovi Demetrain Jr and James Whynot. Good graphic novel.
I’ve been a fantasy nerd lately and the last one I’ve finished was Shadowdale by Scott Ciencin. Didn’t really like it though.
The Hidden Persuaders by Vance Packard
Right now I’m reading “Five Weeks in a Balloon” by Jules Verne. Before that “Great Apes” by Will Self.
