Ok… I’m really falling in love with Renoise’s effect commands (only took me ten years or so to properly appreciate them!)
But… I can’t get anything impressive out of the 0Axx command…
Can any of you show me something impressive you’ve done with I?
Perhaps it’s just not to my taste!
I’d use it more as a ‘trill’ effect than a typical arpeggio. Maybe a glissando, it’s pretty speedy.
Ya, it’s kind of legacy. If you’re using low LPB values and moderate/slow tempos you’ll hear the effect more distinctly, but if you’re running, say, 16 LPB patterns it’s definitely more of a “trill” as @Neuro_No_Neuro suggests
Might be better off creating a phrase with the musical relationship and pattern you would like the arpeggio to take, then playing it up and down the keys that way.
