Why is the download counter reset when I upload a new version of a tool?

You must replace the file in order to retain the download count, so remove the old tool file first, then upload a new one with the same name.

I pretty sure I did exactly that! Maybe it’s due to fact that my tool is (still) renamed during upload “for security reasons”?
