ive been using renoise a lot over the years since it came out first.
great software . . .
ok. now to the main course :
I have a YAMAHA MW10C USB mixing desk .
Im running renoise on an OSX ibook G4
when i use the desk with renoise all the sounds sound like they are bitcrushed and distorted .
ive tried everything i can .
has anyone else had this problem ???
its the same in traktor 3.0 but its fine in osx and using quicktime / itunes .
Apple -> System Preferences -> Energy Saver -> Options
Change “Processor Performance” from “Automatic” to “Highest”
Maybe that will help? I need to do that when recording using my soundcard otherwise I get “bitcrunch” artifacts in my stuff.
I also found this USB driver update on the Yamaha site… USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, READ THE PDF FILES IN THE ZIP, ETC ETC ETC. …perhaps that will solve your problem?
