I like using Renoise just with samples. You can do so much even with simple samples in Renoise.

I agree, I’ve mad allot of samples over the past 8 years, most from hardware, I just use them mainly, :guitar:

What would you guys recommend for big fat PWM basses? I need some pulse love.
(Or should I start a new thread?)

Edit: Also, I use a Nord Micro Modular, but recently I’m feeling the need for a softsynth.

I’d have to say I am in the category of staying away from soft-synths in Renoise. I like taking ‘found sounds’ and using the instrument editor and internal DSP effects to shape the sound.

At the moment I’m recording on a dictaphone - Zoom H2 for me at the end of the month! :D

Definitely. A good one.

If I could only have one softsynth though it would be Zebra 2. Does just about everything really well, although it is somewhat complex.

MDA ePiano <-- used in a pinch
Drummatic 3 <-- Damn near all my custom drum loops feature this mother f****er…it’s indisposable!
