Zerobeat

keep a close eye on the computer screens in the video…familiar???

Great Video! I enjoyed the song very much, and felt like I had special esoteric-like knowledge when I recognized the program that was rolling on the computer screen. When you guys come to philadelphia can I play a short set before you guys go on?

Funky stuff :drummer:

thanks!!! we did it on low to no budget. really hyped to get crackin @ this new version of renoise…envelope follower is massive for live electronic drumming through renoise.

Hey, Zerobeat !

You did a pretty good job, with a low/no budget ! The overall video quality is very close to some daft punk early productions.

…and “no bananas were harmed during the making of this funky video music”.

:guitar:

COOL!

daft funk!!! a handfull of people said the same thing in regard to the song, not our intention, but we’ll take the comparison for sure.

i love looking @ peoples faces when they peep our computer screens scrolling and get all buggy eyed. most assume we use ableton. renoise pride!!!

oh…a few bananas were indeed harmed and violated during the making of this video.

Funkey

Is the drummer triggering anything inside the computer or playing on top of the audio? Wouldn’t mind a better audio recording of this :drummer:

it’s a roland td-20 electronic kit. the original break was sliced up and each individual drum hit/sound strategically placed among the kit. so that beat/break is 100% live and played real time through renoise. there are no pre-recorded audio cuts going on in this song. the only things pre-programmed are sound/kit changes. in the new renoise this is much easier, w/ the routing options. this song uses an older method to switch the kit/instrument used (programming the instrument # without any note data) so instead of C-401 it is just —01. worked for then, but loving the new routing options for smoother kit/sound changes.
