It seems that we can rename topics from anyone in the community, even though we didn’t post those.
Doesn’t seems to be a “nickname” for me since it also shows my “corrected” version in incognito mode

I have not tried…But if it’s the case, you have discover maybe a big bug on this forum “model”
Also used on Vital and VCV.
I apologize if I misunderstood something.
I believe only the person who created the topic and those with editing permissions can change the topic title—not just anyone.
I tried it briefly, and it seems I can’t change the title of this topic, for example.
I don’t see any particular issue with anyone being able to view the edit history, but what do you think?
Broh=’spaghetti code’ ?
hmm weird, because I can for sure change names for other topics.
Also, if you look at the edit history, there is @unless that renamed my topic (probably tried when reading what I said).
Don’t understand what you mean. Also having a porn website as your listed website is stupid.
It appears this is an arguably questionable quirk that users with Trust Level Regular
earn by default.
I see. So it seems anyone at the Regular level or above can rename any topic.
The pseudo conjecture projected by a bad boy…”pseudo”
But we need stimulation
Yes, I’ve bumped that to " Trust Level 4 – Leader" now.
heh, now i miss being able to rewrite typo’d up beginners questions with either typos in the title or total incoherency.
Trust level 3 requirements are crazy. Might as well rename it ‘glued to screen smashing F5 on 100 tabs’.
“under the radar” is sometime a better place
Thanks, things are getting clear now. Once I’ve got the message something like “Congratulations, you’re a member now”. I just asked myself “What? Member? Member of what?”. So it’s about “Trust levels”. I didn’t care about trust levels and I still don’t.
Anyway, something has changed in the forum. Now everybody can browse user profiles without being logged in. I cannot imagine that it’s intended to be like that.
I guess since the forum itself is public, your activity (apart from direct messages) is also public by extension.
If you want to make it one step harder for people to access this information you can tick Hide my public profile
inside Settings / Profile. But this won’t actually stop someone from being able to crawl the forum for all your public messages and reactions and build a similar profile if they really wanted to.
For sure, I know about that. Maybe I’m wrong, but I believe in the past it wasn’t allowed to browse user profiles without being logged in, in fact I’ve never seen that before in any forum.
