The big Preset Trance synth of 96.

would be interesting to try this clone of Roland JP-8000. But I’m not 149€ interested.

just get this free oldie;

It’s a nice synth especially at the time right

I have the original but something has broken after not being used for decades, it’s got some weird distortion crackling going on.

Pretty horrible actually :wink:
It misses the feedback osc ( comb filtering ) and phase distortion on triangle
I remember I lusted so hard for a jp8000 when they came out , didn’t like the supersaw but man did it look and sounded great ,

I wish those consistently worked. half their plugins make no sound on my pc. I used to use them ages ago

I just remembered it being a super saw kinda jp-8000 inspired vsti, never used it myself, but just checking I think it isn’t that bad :slight_smile:

I liked Refx vanguard back in the time, though sounded more raw. Nowadays I would use a synth which exactly can control each voice off the super saw layers, e.g. dune 3, synth master 3, msoundfactory. So the spreading curve for pitch, panning, the phase offset and restart etc.

Msoundfactory recently added some unison modulator, so you can exactly control each voice of the unison, every parameter, similar to bitwig. You can mimic jp8000 then, too, but maybe create something even better sounding.

Btw U-he diva contains a quite accurate jp8000 osc, too, yet better sounding filters.

My free Alpha Plus also can do that. And you even can change the shape of each single osc voice.
For example: voice 1=saw, voice 2=pulse, voice 3=sine, etc.

AND all the other modelled osc/filters etc…for about the same price

Diva is still an amazing product

But there is no mac version :stuck_out_tongue: No, of course great synth… I guess :slight_smile:
