Just finished another remix of my own track. I hope I am getting wiser in keeping frequencies clear and building the mix without too much mush in the mid range.
But there’s still lot to learn obviously. I use more widening stuff than before: hard-panning guitar tracks, Renoise Expander, Redline Reverb, EastWest mic settings. But I don’t know if there’s enough space in the mix.
Also, it is sometimes quite hard to find balance with lead sounds and guitars. I use ducking (signal follower is great) and small EQ tweaks. But when I think I get it right, the balance changes when I change speakers/headphones.
So again, I could use some additional ears. If you could tell how this sounds in you speakers? Any tricks I could try?
