I’d like to report a non-bug.
I have an E-MU 0404 PCI card, and it came with the “Proteus X LE” VST plugin.
Since day one, I’ve had trouble with that plugin - it would break up and generate clicks and fuzz, under all hosts, including Renoise 1.8, Orion Platinum, Cubase LE and Live.
Consistently, under every host I could find, when playing more than 3-4 notes at a time, the sound would break up - even though CPU usage was at like 10%, and regardless of whether I had the latency setting at 2 milliseconds or 200 (yes, two hundred!) …
Naturally, I assumed something was wrong with this plugin, and I filed bug reports, and asked for help on various forums, etc. - the creator, naturally, denied that there could possibly be anything wrong with their plugin. Sheesh…
Then along came Renoise 1.9 …
THIS PLUGIN NOW WORKS !
So I figured, naaah, must have updated a driver or something, right?
Retested in every other host I could think of - this plugin consistently fails in all hosts, except Renoise 1.9.
Yes, it still fails under Renoise 1.8 as well.
Whatever you did different in this update, it’s working, and every other music software developer in the world seems to have it wrong! 
(either that, or there really is a bug in this plugin, that somehow affects all hosts except Renoise 1.9…)
