Would be cool if Renoise could fetch the audio when opening a .mp4 file in the diskop. Or maybe it is already possible, but I need to install quicktime again?
Simply installing a codec/filter for Windows directShow that include Mp4 support could also suffice. I have no idea if there is any good one out there doing just that…
Can renoise really load audio from video files? mp4 is multimedia (eg it can contain video and audio, not only audio.)
If it is an audio only file renaming the extension to m4a and trying (with correct codec installed) might work…
As to good codec; I would suggest ffdShow (based around FFmpeg.) http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/
Renaming to m4a doesn’t work atm, will look into the codec. Would really like an easy quick way to get audio from youtube vids in renoise.
