Advise on ambient Video for a Youtube channel

Hello to all.

I would like to have your opinion on the videos on this YouTube channel.

If there are any of you who like this kind of ambient/video mix, what scene, ambiance or landscape would you like to see?
And what do you think of those already posted?
Do you have any advices on how to improve something?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Good evening everyone.

Not my thing, but if it works and you like doing it, keep it up

I will say that these seem to be a cut above the standard AI mush on youtube, but I don’t really understand the point to most of these videos. Or maybe I need something loud and stimulating to wake me up 99% of the time. Either way, if your audience likes what you’re doing, it seems like you can probably just keep making similar ones. The music reminds me a bit of Slow Dancing Society, who I used to listen to until I got extremely bored with the monotony of the genre!

Thanks for your reply.

I love create an ambiance with image and sound, this is just the begining but i’ll try to do more animations and complex things in the future…

I really like these kinds of mixes. Cryochamber does something similar (subtly changing/moving backdrops to accompany the music). I would like to eventually do something similar, myself (ultimately a bit more dynamic, think objects/models reacting to the audio, as well as more surreal/abstract). Your renders look quite good! Great lighting and I am particularly fond of the fireplaces.

Follow-up: I haven’t listened to all of them yet, but I browsed the other videos on your channel (followed, btw) and I have to say I really like them. Your interiors are incredibly detailed. I would vote for you to continue on however you are currently in regards to what to make next. Great stuff. I think I’ll put these on in my living room while cleaning/organizing.

Thanks a lot Jesse.

Here’s a more complex one with day-night cycle…

This is wonderful! I almost added to my previous reply that I particularly enjoy detailed backgrounds and would like to see your take on exteriors! You read my mind! Fantastic stuff!

The music on this one is really clicking with me. Looking forward to further works of yours.

Have you ever thought of doing any “behind-the-scenes” content, either for the music production or the visuals? I’d be quite interested in such a thing.

Thanks for these encouraging words.

I’ll post a new one soon with a dystopian exterior landscape, my best i think.

Maybe later, i’ll try some behind-the-scene videos for the visuals but i need to make more before.

Watching it now, popped up in my YouTube recommendations awhile after you uploaded it. Came here to say I love it. This is great stuff! I am absolutely part of your target demographic lol. I tend to lean more heavily towads the darker side of Downtempo (industrial, noise, musique concret, dark-ambient,e tc.) but your style of “new age ambient” (label not at all important) is really appealing to me.

As always, keep up the great work!

Although easily judged dystopian for contemporary mainstream values, the pursuit of comfort within that paradigm may be a highly critical and worthwhile theme to pursue.
Kraftwerk and Harmonia began to translate pop art into music, and through Eno and Vaporwave, the genre has been pursued in various ways since then, but I feel that there is still much that remains to be discovered in this direction.
For example, I think the peace of the Ottoman Empire, which lasted over 500 years before the modern era, would be an interesting theme to explore.

It would be good to express the splendor and comfort of the world of AI, which continues to develop and flourish, dominating (ignoring) humans who no longer have antique value and are fading away like horseshoe crabs.

fun! keep at it. it feels like i could use this in the background and create some more scripts for Paketti.

Thank you all for your comments.
I’ll think about the Ottoman Empire. I’ll try to do a large story with lot of planets and civilizations…
The AI will be a part of the story i think.

And here’s the next, a darker one, direct follow up of the last one.

That’s good. It seems that “comfort in a different paradigm from the present” is a theme that is really worth pursuing.
In this sense, the simple, positive messages and the like emitted by general advertisements are a kind of science fiction.

I mentioned the Ottoman Empire because I imagine that many people in the region love the long peaceful pre-modern era and are disappointed with the chaotic post-modern present.

There will also be themes such as the beauty of different situations when the next ice age arrives.

  1. an ice age in which both humans and AI are dying
  2. an ice age in which only AI thrives
  3. an ice age in which humans who have acquired the technology to control AI (slow AI) prosper
  4. an ice age in which both AI and humans prosper

In the order of realistic possibilities, I personally believe that only 1-3 are possible, but I feel that all of them can be enjoyed as sci-fi ambient.

For post-Vaporwave values, there is no need for detailed historical research. A wild, dreamlike world would be better.
For example, a theme could be the comfort of the Middle East in the 2010s, where the peace of the Ottoman Empire has smoothly merged with modernity and continues today.
There, it doesn’t matter if Israel is somewhere else or was never founded in the first place.

Another good theme would be the comfort of the Trump supporters’ dreams.
The economy is booming and the suicide rate among white middle-aged and older people is not high. The Rust Belt region is not called as such and continues to develop as a cultural metropolitan area, full of people living happily with their families.

Well, while it may be best to avoid taking something too extreme and too sensitive (e.g., the People’s Temple, the Hutus, the Khmer Rouge, etc.) as it may be too explicit and may not be fun for the creators or audience or may invite serious flare-ups, these possibilities of expression in themselves are very broad, I feel.
At the very least, the comfort of a situation where those negatives were not present seems to be worth expressing.

I love the ice age theme, this will be one of my next one! Thanks!

I’ll avoid thoses that can be too political/explicit even if some themes could be great.
Anyway, sci-fi themes can be infinitely varied and allow you to approach all subjects in more or less subtle ways.

Here’s the next one:

A new one, not sure it will work as the dystopian one… just for a test…

I am not familiar with Blade Runner, but it also sounds interesting, like an epic suite in the vein of that Vangelis.
Maybe it would be better to have noise in a positive sense, i.e. moderate wind, rain, thunder, city sounds, etc.

Yeah, i’ll try to add more noise elements, and maybe a more discret sound…

A new one:

There’s more on the channel.
