Akai LPK25 25 Key Mini doesn't work or turn on anymore

I have an Akai LPK25 25 Key Mini. I used it two months ago and it was working fine. I set it aside to take a break from music for a bit. About two days ago I took it back out of it’s original box it came in and plugged it back into my computer as I did the last time I used it. Now for some reason it isn’t working.

Here is what I have tried:

  1. I unplugged the USB from both the computer and the keyboard and waited a few minutes and tried again.

  2. I logged out of my DAW and shut down the program then got back into it thinking that maybe the issue. Still nothing.

  3. I tried steps 1 and 2 again with a different USB connected to the computer and the keyboard. Nothing again.

  4. I tried the two USB ports each time. I then tried connecting another items to my computer to see if it was the computer USB port that may be the issue. My phone, my headphones, and my two computer keyboards for typing work fine without issues.

Could it be the USB port on the keyboard that isn’t working right or could it be something inside the keyboard itself?

Any ideas or suggestions for what I should try next that I haven’t done yet?

When you have it connected and have started up Renoise, is it selected/chosen inside the midi tab of the preferences?

When you press the (for example octave) buttons on the left of the midi controller do they light up? If not it might be broken.
