If anyone wants to take a listen to this remix I did that would be cool. Also if anyone with a sub wants to let me know how well the bass is mixed?
I like the way you mixed the vocals in. 
Cool track. Like the beats. Checking on earplugs so not sure about your sub level. But as a whole your bass is nonexistent, so maybe you could try adding some upper harmonics/mid range for smaller speaker compatibility.

Ok, yeah I’d agree with that. I did try boosting the lower mids a bit on the master EQ but I’m not sure that made a huge difference. Probably better to just add something else.
Well, EQ won’t be able to boost if there are no frequencies there so you can try saturation/distortion to add those harmonics. Or a bit of layering as you’ve said.

Yeah I did put some saturation on the sine wave sub, I find it’s a tough one if you want really clean bass. It just doesn’t come through at all on smaller speakers since some of the notes are around 50-60hz.
interesting interpretation of the original (which i’m also quite a fan of), really enjoyable.
however my sub almost didn’t even notice that your track was on playback until i dialed in another 5db on my mixer’s sub outs.

Ah ok. Thanks for the heads up, might have to revisit how to mix sub. It’s not easy with a less than ideal monitoring set up.
