Analyzer low frequency area broken @96kHz

The analyzer in Renoise works quite nicely while using it at 48kHz sample rate. Here is a shot:

But if you switch to 96kHz, now the low bass area seems to be flawed. Same song, similar area:

It’s like there is no analysis below 43,50 Hz anymore…

I also like the speed of the peak fall much more at 96kHz, maybe 48kHz could be the same?

I also use 96khz and noticed the same thing. It’s like it averages that whole area when using 96khz.

Before anyone says “44khz is enough, why are you using 96!? Yadda yadda yadda”:

Yeah… we know, we’ve been there 100x, doesn’t matter, don’t care.

Btw. also notice how the harmonics seem to look thicker at 96Hz the lower the frequency… Maybe just a coincidence, but maybe not… The view at 96kHz feels more helpful, only not below said 43,50Hz.

does increasing the blocksize help?

Nope, it’s already set to 16384.

Doubling the sample rate while keeping the block size, should have a similar effect to halving the block size at the same sampling rate. So unless Renoise compensates in some way, if you compare 16384@96khz with 8192@48khz, it should result in a similar spectrum analyzer resolution.

This is very interesting, indeed.
