Hi there, I purchased Renoise today so I could render my first finished tune. It took about 6-7 hours to create and uses some of the standard freely available VSTis and a few of the pack in samples for the beat. Be warned that it’s by no means original and the production consists of no more than adjusting the volumes and filter cut offs as I’ve just been following various tutorials as I made the song. It was great fun to make though.
about the mixing, i think one should get a good mix just with gaining first, then put on the span. to me you did that pretty good it sounds very good on my more of crappy 2.1 stereo.
Thank you basil, that was pretty much my method once I had the main riff completed. I’ve read so much stuff on here about production and it’s all rather overwhelming. Just pleased I’ve not made your ears bleed.
Elmex, thank you for the kind comment! I used Asynth, Taurus and Synth1, tweaking the presets until it produced a nice sound. I’ve not really got any idea what I’m doing with them outside of the ADSR settings. (Like, what’s an oscilator? Or an LFO? I have no idea!) But it’s fun to tweak things.
