Why not a “lite” synthetic open hihat behind?
It would make the rhythm more “aerial”

I’ll try that later today. Also think the tune comes across a bit ‘harsh’ in the mix (too much high end on my Mac’s speakers, but it was perfect in my enclosed headphones).
