YEEeeeahh.. Let’s cover FastF@ck3r… Been messing with it lately too, I think everyone should make a tune in it to honor the late Arguru who will have been gone now for 20 years as of next year… How time flies!.. We’ll ALL be joining him soon…
But Arguru who really was the grand daddy of Renoise with the open sourcing of NoiseTrekker 2 which became NoiseTrekker 3.2.2 with the Renoise team but had not completed gender reassignment yet until early Renoise made many trackers back then, very busy 1999-2002…
So to get it outta the way there is no ‘@’ it’s definitely a ‘U’ so to be clear about the name-
And the modules naming convention-
We don’t see such boldness anymore… How sad…
So FastF@ck3r is pretty good… It can use VSTi & VST so far it’s been better than expected using plugs especially for being coded in 2000 when plugins in most anything were ‘iffy’… Nice thing is that you can automate your VSTi Params in it (But NOT VST Params)… If you try mounting a VST to a different track Just for automation there is always a crash… But VSTi can use however many tracks for automation…
I tried the ‘Tweaking’ of sliders but could not get it to work but found just laying out values & then interpolating was as fast as anything else… Of course this gives you the sawtooth ramp-up-down curve but it’s easy to place a shorter one ontop of that to make it more like a curve…
Will test plugin ‘chainers’ so far MultiFXVST is working fine which allows access to internal presets plus able to open/save FXB/FXP… But it’s for FX only, not VSTi… Plus you hafta save your ‘chain’ & reopen it when opening tune… The nice thing is that if you have a clever chain of FX you can then thusly use that chain in another song… MultiFXVST is freeware…
it takes awhile to figure out how to hook things up right but I will be explaining that… When it’s all worked out I will upload it to archive.organism with whatever extras…
