a sub-option when you rclick a pattern in the arranger.
that when you select the option, it would break a big pattern up into 1/2 1/4… etc and create new sub-divided patterns based on the pattern you selected.
so if you had a 512 pattern and you want 1/4 it would create 4 new patterns (under the original) each with 128 lines. (that way you get to keep an decide whether you want the original)
I don’t feel the need for this myself but i was asked about this the other day by a fairly prominent musician who is a recent convert. He’d like to be able to join patterns into longer ones actually. Hopefully this would work with a ‘new’ flag option, so you could split/join and overwrite or split/join to new patterns.
