Assign Instrument to Track?

Hey,

I seem to remember there was an option to assign an instrument to a track at some point, so that it would play always on that track, regardless of which track is selected in the editor. I can’t find it in the GUI or the wiki. Can someone remind me how to do that? Or do I just remember wrong?

Go to instrument’s effects (turn on/create dsp chain whatever it says if need to) and change output from current track to whatever track number you want it to play through. I think that’s what you might be looking for?

I can only select “Track”, which routes it to the currently active track, or a hardware device, not a specific track…
