!?! I don’t really understand this sentiment. I think it’s awesome that Autechre actually said that, I think it’s a huge achievement for the Renoise team and shows how far it has come in the last 10 years. It would even be cool to see the team get official authorization to use the endorsement.

However I DON’T think it’s an excuse to continue egging the team on for v3 before it is finished. Why can’t everybody just shut up and enjoy this amazing tool that was provided for us? I’d be happy even if there were no more updates ever, and would use it for a long time to come, because the software is very complete and functional as it is. I think all the begging for v3 is just a reflection on our society’s tendency to continue wanting more stuff, even when many/most people already have plenty more than they need to be happy.

Yes, that is - until a new version of OSX arrives. But I have faith that even if Renoise achieved some mythical “feature freeze” point, in which everybody was happy, it would still receive the periodic update every now and then, to accomodate a shifting technological landscape
PS: “shifting technological landscape” sounds very Authechre’ish, doesn’t it?
