A new meta device which can select any existing automation lane of any device, and use this data to target other devices / mangle the data. I guess this would also work without respecting the processing order of the devices/tracks. Any way to cause feedback here?
It could also provide a (very steep?) lowpass filter. It also could have an invert checkbox or similar.
You then could also decouple automation from devices.
Just copy paste your automation, no ?
This sounds like a job for tools I think. I.e. you could have a script that swaps in a Hydra, and maybe use a Formula device for the lowpass thing.
I meant this idea really from a conceptual perspective. Seems to me at least a really great addition, making automation more flexible.
Something like:
”There is a note”
”There is an automation”
“There is an instrument”
”There is an effect”
Now do anything with it…
