Is it not possible anymore to setup an automation just by LShift+right click on effect value in pattern editor ?

I’ve noticed that there is also some setting in the play-controls next to the metronome to record DSP effects in automation.
Currently there seem to be three different ways to set automation and each has it’s different icon-indicator behind the effect parameter.
I’m still busy figuring out the use of the button in the upper play-part.
If you do a right-click upon that icon or that slider in the DSP/VST/Meta effect, you set automation in a certain mode to record commands either to the automation curve or to the effect-column.
Once you are recording you are able to switch between recording to effect-column or automation curve during edit-play mode with a simple key-combo, if that is what you meanted.
