Hi,
there is no automation indicator for the wet-only-switch of the multi tap, but I can automate it using right click.
While right-clicking it, the status bar says “Pattern Effect > 3201”, but I cannot find that effect command… It’s then in the automation view of the device available.
Why isn’t it like this for the dsp on/off switches?
Can you add an indicator for both and make on/off automation using graph instead pattern command?
So the following problems are here:
-
No indicator for “wet-only-switch” automation /Access of that automation only thru the automation view button
-
Misleading info in status bar
-
No on/off automation in graph
-
No on/off automation indicator
-
No context menu options to delete it
-
Missing option “jump to next occurrence”
The indicator only needs to be checked once after song load/device insert/set event. I don’t really get why it is this way… Is the automation graph itself somehow connected to the on/off state of the device, so kinda in the device object? Maybe then decouple it?
I don’t know, but could yes please think about it, how annoying it can be, if you don’t don’t if a device was on/off automated (you wont know after reloading the song later for sure)? Please. Also that problem regarding quantization in adv. tab, it will destroy midi pattern commands (because not moving it along), and so, it will turn then into device on/off automation. Then you are completely lost usually, because you often did not notice that the quantization turned midi automation into random on/off automation. Even more worse, that then there is no indicator at all! The only quick-fix then is to copy/paste the accidentally automated device. But then other automation will be lost.
Kind of related here, my suggestion “move automation along with devices per default”.
Thanks for consideration.
