Ah. Takes me back to old discussions about electronic and aucustic music. What is real?
It’s what the musician does with his tool that counts. Not the size of it.
Ableton Live for example is, surprise, a program for Live appearances, not
mainly (or at all?) for music creation. So comparing it to Renoise doesn’t make
sense. Although I haven’t tried it more than had a brief glimpse.
As for the other programs, if you have a set of loops in Renoise, you can
almost as easily arrange them to something. Because you can do that,
does that make Renoise a bad program? Or is it the person who only does that who isn’t a real composer? I leave the question open…
