i am going to buy fader port from presonus and looking for a good universal midi controller (much knobs and sliders and buttons) for renoise. is fader port a good choice or is there something better or in combination ?
Touchosc with duplex
FYI. I’ve owned two faderports. Both broken. Just died. Now I have an alphatrack.
Some keyboard for velocity driven notes
and touchosc + tablet + duplex
what is duplex ?
wich tablet app
Speaking of that TouchOSC thing…
I think Akiz mentioned something about having the ability to insert effects, not just edit them.

I dont have this ability but i would love to.
I have to turn to my computer and mouse to insert instrument and instr. aut device, if i could do it from tablet it would be another story :]
what about alphatrack. is there a script using it with renoise ?
Yes, it’s available on the tools page.

Did you actually use it? I just downloaded it for my iPhone and it doesn’t connect to Duplex. There is no good documentation either for how to configure this with Renoise. Seems like I just lost one hour and $5

Without turning this into a TouchOSC / Duplex-related discussion, Ithink you’ll find some hints here:

Note to self: make proper documentation…
Thanks for help. Seems like the step I was missing was to choose “Simple” template in TouchOSC and in Duplex. Now it is working, although it seems that I have to make my own templates to make this useful. So it is still going to be some work before I can actually start using it. The out-of-the-box functionality looks more like a proof-of-concept to me.
Has anyone played around with Lemur and Renoise?

these are very pricey right now, i wanted to get IBM old keyboard, but instead got newer logitech cheap office keyboard, with numpad and separated F buttons things are going much smoother

Ugh never liked the iso layout, for one the return/enter key is far too vertically built. (aesthetically, bleh)
and two Ansi layout is much more comfortable as my pinky naturally hits the keyboard.
I like my blank Das, thank you very much.
