Bit Depth In Recording

i know that Renoise convert the sample data to 32 bits float to better quality when you record a sound, independently of the original bit depth.

but, if you record in 24 bits it will be better than 16 bits, it is?

where i select the bit depth for recording? Renoise select the maximum bit depth available from my sound card automatically and i can´t select other?

nobody know…?

the best available quality for recording is always used,

then, if necessary, the sample is converted to Renoise standard.

The sample rate of recording is the one you choose in the audio preferences
