Blastbeat tips?

Bit weird i know, but would anyone have ideas or tips for programming blastbeats in renoise?

The Wikipedia page makes it sound pretty straightforward. I don’t know what your level of Renoise experience is, but basically each of these (bass/snare/cymbal) would be its own column. Since Renoise defaults to each row being a 16th note you could pretty much translate these charts verbatim.

Making it sound realistic is another question. I personally use Addictive Drums 2 for “real” drums.

I also use ad2 for my blastbonk needs.

Besides the basic beat, when you get the humanization right it can sound quite good imho.
For me lots of manual editing is needed especially with the velocity, as the humanization function in rns is too random.

Here are two examples:

HMU if you need some example renoise patterns or any other sort of help.
