"block" for column

oh i really need a column-selection (block) only … it’s simply not possible to copy & paste a single part of a column!!
e.g. it’s hard to make a complex hihat-line in a coloumn if the drums in different column are already done (and i can not copy all columns continuously coz of complex drum arrangement too)

please please a version 1.26 with some small enhancemts and fixes (can’t wait - sorry :unsure: i know 1.25 was released one week ago)

and please … i think it’s simply better and logical (for all coming Renoise user too) to name it SELECTION instead of BLOCK B)

(AND some lame old octaMED user who never used an old tracker like sound/pro/noise could understand block as pattern!!! ;) :D :D )

i remember this is suggested already… iirc i suggested do this with right button of the mouse… but i also need one very much.

workaround:

pick the column where is the block to copy (CTRL+SHIFT+F4)

paste it on a one-column empty track.

select the block on this track

make your modifications

copy the track as a column (CTRL+SHIFT+F4)

paste it back to the initial position (CTRL+SHIFT+F5)

this is useful to copy a column block repeating it on a whole column

i’m not stubid, it-alien!
… and we are in “Ideas & Suggestions” not in in Help & Support
… and your “workaround” is simply useless if u have 10 tracks full of notes
… it’s too much trouble to add a track with coulmns everytime for a copy&paste action

… a more free selection is needed for comfortable music-editing! that’s it!

I didn’t mean your suggestion is useless… instead, I totally agree with you and I’ve felt the urge for such a feature too.

Just wanted to share with you all one way I’m working around this in some cases.
