Some fancypanty boogie with cowbelling (this shall hereby be a verb) and talkboxing and some tryout vocals, somewhat finished. Roland Juno-106 overload!
I enjoyed this, thanks for posting.
Can you tell us some detail of how you did the tuneful vocal effects? Were they in Renoise, or some external procssing? Thanks
The robotic vocal is a random saw-like synth sound ran through my talkbox and recorded with t.bone SC 450 (I use that mic for pretty much everything, percussions and vocals etc), other than that it’s all Renoise processed. Mostly just rough eq stuff.
one word
cool tune! What talkbox you runnin`?
Thanks. Another question (sorry) … I’m loving the synth sound that appears at 0.28
Being pretty new to this I checked out some Juno 106 samples, but don’t think I can find anything similar. Is this from that synth or something else? Or did you use a bunch of filters on some other sound? It sounds great, I thought it might be a fun sound to use in my own tracks.
Thanks
I’m using Rocktron Banshee. Some years ago I made my very own ghetto talkbox, but it was just a pain so ended up getting the real thing.
It’s directly from the Juno synth accompanied with very slight phaser and stereo enhancement. Juno-106 is quite versatile!
Wow…
Yeah man, thats got some vibe. Love the flextone
Updated version available, downloads enabled. Went a bit overboard in the end, probably schubbing a guitar solo in there somewhere and redo the vocals aswell. And yeah, flexatone is awesome! Cheap 'n effective.
Thank you all for digging the groove
