Interesting, I had never seen a video of quicksand until recently. It looks wetter than I imagined and less sandy. I guess the image I’ve always had in my head of quicksand originated with Super Mario Bros 2:

Dry quicksand also exists reportedly. Although it is very rare in nature, there has been some documented instances.
