Can't Hear Second Column In A Track

This is buggin me for a long time… and I can’t find a solution…

in 1 track --> same vst synth… in both columns…

but the second column has differtent notes then the first…

why CAN I hear both columns on SOME vst’s/presets and
why CAN’T i hear both columns on SOME OTHER vst’s/presets ???

Some synths are monophonic and some synths are polyphonic.

Monophonic synths effectively have 1 voice and can only play one note at a time.
