Can't Numbers Be Assigned To The Ten-key?

Hi, :D

Today I am asked by the Japanese user;
“Simply, can’t numbers be assigned to the ten-key(NumPad)?”
i.e. he wants to use the ten-key to input numbers in the Pattern Editor.

Though I tried by myself, I couldn’t find the method.
Is it impossible?

Though I thought whether it would be assignable if I rewritten the KeyboardBinding.xml, it seems that this thing cannot be solved by such easy way.
