anyone listened to this record yet? i’ve had it on repeat, i think its pretty good. one of the highlights has to be the humorously epic ‘commuter’, and the 80s emo of “new river company”, which sounds like you just completed Outrun. and of course the obligatory ‘camelot’ style melodies in between. the chris hulsbeck leanings of the castilian tracks are ace too. good album.

But yeah, its pretty great, I personally like Cedric’s Sonnet and Royal Lounge the best.

It reminds me of the Bogdan Raczynski approach on Alright!, but in the Ceephax way. He has some kind of a gift with acid melodies and also kistch headfuck sounds. I think this album is his best in date, because I feel it more acomplished and coherent than his older releases. That’s how I’ve always thought about him anyway : a duality between genius (the genius of the ones i consider as the bests electronic musicians) and unaccomplished material. And this album sounds really accomplished !..
Music in general lacks of humour. Hopefully some releases like United Acid Emirates sometimes comes up. For the greater good !
Edit : my favorite ones are Sidney’s Sizzler, Life Funk, and Arcadian (considering Castilian as off-competition, as it was release sooner)

He’s one of those artists that you blindly buy his albums …( that was an awfull sentence )
For me he’s up there with the big ones , + having this splendid sense of ( tonge in cheeck) humor
