Change default naming of track groups (Track X vs. Group X)

Hello,
if you create a group it is called Group 1, if you add any track into it it is renamed into Group 2… So if you have 5 tracks inside it is called Group 5 etc.

Edit: Why is it moved to ideas? I am not sure that group should be called group 5 just because it has 5 tracks init

It’s the 5th track then, that’s why it’s called Group 5. Always has been like that. When nesting groups in groups it makes as less or much sense to count the groups or tracks for the default name.

Moved it to ideas & suggestion to see if there are strong opinions against or for this behavior or alternative ideas.

Ok, it makes sense!
But i would assume that groups and tracks have their own numbering,I am just used to another DAWs also. :slight_smile:
