about chopping up breakbeats and this idea came to mind:

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a button in the sample editor like Markers on/off (something like slices in recycle).
When enabled you can add/remove makers and move them with sample precision to that kick, snare or whatever.
Now the the nifty part <_< :Then automaticly the first marker is always assigned to 0901 the second one to 0902 and so on.

This way we can still use the 0900 command but with higher accuracy :)

Already been suggested a number of times. :) Though I’m not sure about the toggle idea (i.e. between traditional offset and markers).
It seems there’s a consensus that the offset command should be kept as is, and that a new command be used to access sample markers (if they get implemented).
