love the overall color balance but the keyboard keys are very bright and need to be dimmed a bit to get better with other parts of the theme
Yes, but not officially supported I suppose..
You can find default textures in C:\Program Files\Renoise 3.5.2\Resources\Skin\Textures on Windows.
Make a copy of an existing texture folder, rename it and do your edits.
You need to save the files in specific image BPP format, but I forgot which one was it.
Since Renoise 3.5 it’s possible to put resources in the preference folder to leave the original files unchanged. I don’t know yet where it’s located on Windows but on MacOS it’s in /Users/[your username]/Library/Preferences/Renoise/[Versionnumber]
You can put custom config files, fonts etc there, only thing is you have to use absolute paths in the config files you put there. Renoise does unfortunately not support system-links as “/~Library” (Link to the current users library folder on MacOS) as it seems.
If you upgrade to a higher version you still keep all your custom files and don’t have to change the files in the new version. ![]()
Thank you. Yes, I’m with you, would love to see parameters for them in the xrnc file, so we don’t have to mess with textures.
They could have a parameter for texture name. Or somehow include texture image data, idk how, octet stream perhaps.
*BMP
the software that still uses BMP feels really old-school ![]()
Bits Per Pixel - there are various BMP formats, and it has to be the right one or Renoise will crash. I think it was 3x8bpp, meaning every colour channel gets 8 bits - or might be wrong

I recently grabbed the midlight themes from deafman for ableton 12. So keeping with my usual routine i made a couple redux themes to match my favorite couple of themes. This is the crimson theme. I hope some of you may derive some joy from it.

Can you re-up please? Links say unavailable for legal reasons (!)
And the issue Esa mentioned is due to the following colors: Main/Selection Back Standby and Main/Selection Font Standby
Here I am responding to your comment (at the time of writing) almost a year after. I did some snooping and digging and found the guy’s Instagram and sent him a message. Hopefully he’ll get back to me with the theme, be real funny to troll my FL Studio friends with it ![]()
