Computer Keyboard (Not Midi) Recommendations?

hey, just wondering what computer keyboard you guys use for renoise, anything really awesome to recommend in usage? I am currently using my default keyboard that came with my quad core… Considering maybe if there are really cool usb keyboards to get a really nice one for tracking with renoise… thanks!

The Logitech Ultra X has been my keyboard of choice for about 6 years now. Really nice and compact with an excellent feel to the keys.

Over the years I have used a plethora of Logitech keyboards and have found them all to be quite good.

Currently, I am using the K350 and have no hesitation in recommending it. It is comfortable, responsive, and has a fair amount of bells and whistles.

As previously mentioned, the Sidewinder X4 has some unique features that peg the cool meter, but I am not sure how well it is supported.

I have something similar to this mechanical keyboard.

The feature that you might want, given that you are using Renoise, is N-key rollover. They add a lot of additional diodes and the key matrix can sense every key’s depression and release. However, you need to be connected through PS/2 to have true NKRO, otherwise you have a limit of 6 keys with USB.

Thinking of picking up one of these little bad boys to help with 09xx commands seeing as my laptop keyboard is tenkeyless and I do a lot of tracking in bed so wireless would be good.

Can someone explain why having the ability to hit 23 keys at the same time is beneficial to tracking? Am I missing out on something?
