Control parameters of mutiple VSTi's at once?

Hi there!

I’m trying to layer my lead to make it more powerful. Basically i have two tracks and track 2 is a duplicate of track 1, except it’s one octave higher. The VSTi of track 2 is also duplicated from track 1 since a VSTi can’t play on multiple tracks at once.

The problem i’m experiencing is that i haven’t figured out how to control the parameters of both tracks at the same time. I’ve added an instrument automation to both tracks and what i want is when i change a parameter in instrument automation in track 1 (f.e. Filter Cutoff) it must also be applied to the instrument automation in track 2. I want them to be linked to eachother.

Is this possible?

Yes, You can use a *Hydra device. If you are going to use different note tracks, it may be appropriate to use a send track. On the shipping track load up a Hydra. Or you can use a group track that contain these two note tracks. Inside this group charge the *Hydra device.

The Input bar will control all output parameters Out 1, Out 2, Out 3… at the same time. Simply change the CT value of each track index and link each Instr device parameter. Automation used on each track for each instrument.

You can even link that Input bar with an LFO to automate movements.

Thank you very much!
I think i’ve got it. I’ve managed to control both parameters using the input slider of the hydra device.

You are mentioning using a send track. I must say i only use those for bus compressors…
What use do they have for using a hydra device?

Solely to classify the devices in some way. But the group track would perhaps be more suitable.
