Guys somebody tell fastest option to copy music notes for another instrument?

Advanced Edit allows to change the instrument number of a selection/column/track/pattern/song, so copy the notes, paste them in a new place, then use the Advanced Edit’s “Instruments” section to change the instrument number of the pasted notes
I’m sorry but this is the only way?
If yes, then it is too difficult for elementary copying music. sorrowfully
what exactly would you want to achieve then?
I can’t think of some fastr way than:
- copy
- paste
- select pasted notes
- apply change
Copy Track (Can’t remember if it’s Shift or Ctrl + F4)
Move track right (Tab)
Paste Track (Shift/Ctrl + F5)
Click on Remap after changing instrument numbers to that desired (unfortunately no keyboard shortcuts for Advanced Edit yet.)
Really don’t know how you can complain about that.
Obviously Advanced Edit needs to be set up how you need first. Also if you want to do smaller selection that a full track slightly more fiddly but really not hard in any way! How would you expect it to be done?
I personally would be more convenient to reassign the selected area through the context menu. I press the right mouse button choose the intsruments
although it may seem a good idea, this would pose the following question:
why there should be a context menu entry for such task and not for the other N tasks which you can perform within advanced edit?
context menu entries customization would be an answer to that, otherwise the context menu would easily turn into a mess
But you can have more than one instrument in a track so that is nowhere near as powerful as the current option and I personally think at least as messy.
I assume personal preferences. trying to simplify the process of working on the track
