Distorted Samples

Hi all, I’m new to renoise and I’ve been having fun playing around with it.

I downloaded some samples from

and even though they play back fine in winamp and sndrec32 etc, when I play them in renoise they are sounded really distorted. I don’t know what I can be doing wrong?

The samples are stereo 16bit 44khz PCM wav files.

I’ve tried lowering the bit rate and making them mono and stuff like that but I’m not getting anywhere.

Actually it turned out everything sounded distorted, I just had to exit renoise and go back in, everything was fine.

Must have got it into a bad state somehow.
