Documentation About Xml Format Changes 2,5 -> 2.8?

I am looking for a documentation about the song xml changes from 2.5 to 2.8. Is there any available and if so, where can I find it?

2.8 Schemas are not yet included in the betas. We usually wait for this until the release candidate. There also is no documentation available for the changes, but a diff between the 2.7 and 2.8 schema files should give you a good overview already.

If you need the 2.8 Schema for a new tool I could generate one and attach it to this topic, but can not promise that this will be the final one for 2.8.

Thanks taktik, I am just starting with Renoise scripting, so there is no need for hurrying up now. I will wait then until the official docs update.

Btw. is it possible using the Renoise scripting API to load another song beside an already loaded song, so I can parse data from the second and copy it to the main project? I mean some new instance of “Renoise document” or something? How about VSTs then, will they be loaded?
