The user manual says “6.1.2 Supported Formats For Song Importing. • .xrns, .rns, .ptk, .ntk - Renoise Songs”. I try to import ptk and I can’t get it to import. The only I was able to import old noisetrekker 1 & 2 files in Renoise is first importing them in Noisetrekker 3.2.2 first then import them in early Renoise versions.
Not one person has reason for this? Not even the makers of the program itself?
You should get a friendly error with instructions on how to solve this, when trying to load old NTK or very old RNS songs:
Sorry, all Protrekker and Renoise songs made with versions < 1.1, can no longer be imported in this version of Renoise.
Please download Renoise 1.11 from https://www.renoise.com to convert (load and save)
them into a newer format that’s readable by this version.

If that’s not the problem, we should indeed correct this in the manual.
