When dragging a DSP chain from the browser into a track it replaces the existing chain. As it is now i have to drag the DSP chain to another track and then copy that chain and append it to the right track.
It’s not the most important feature in the world, but i run into this a bit too often and it’s annoying.
what you need is at preferences > files > device chain import
You can also right-click the file in the disk browser and choose “Load with options” to change the replace/append behaviour on the fly.
dblue, thanks for this info. Could there be an additional option “replace only identical named devices”, so I could join two device chains after proper naming of the devices?
