Renoise crashes when saving sysex patches with the motorolla dsp project ( virus emulator )
As soon a a preset is saved , the gui freezes , only hppens with renoise

I know you dont want to hear this, but how do i set this up?Do i need to have knowledge on code,or is it straightforward?I just saw a comparison video and i couldn’t tell the difference…
What im specifically wondering is wwhere do i find the rom .bin file
Nevermind,i have a .bin now,i have a question though,are all roms the same?is there differences in quality between them?
The different rom contains the dsp algoritms of either the virus B-C.
Virus C has 4 more Non linear low pass filters .and a bunch of extra stuff
Difference between virus models is an endless debate .
Honouslty , the virus is not bad but much prefer the Nord filters ( nord modular , nord lead 2 )
i have both a virus c and a nord lead a1! I’m interested in getting the virus emulator as the sound seems basically the same in what i’ve seen so far.Normally i poo poo emulators but this one seems immaculate.
It’s immaculate because it’s running the exact same dsp code as the virus (which is found on the rom file).
What’s emulated is the motorolla cpu which executes the code .
If you’ll do a side by side comparison with your hardware ,the only difference will be becasue of the hardware dacs .
I really hope they will do the Nord modular , I still have a classic nord modular G1 but a 1:1 software copy would be awesome
