I think it would be nice to add a Parallel option to the native compressor devices, and even perhaps to other devices such as EQ. This would allow blending of the dry and wet signals that wouldn’t necessitate a send track. You could simply click a button labeled “Parallel” on the effect, which would engage the parallel processing of that effect and tack on a small Dry/Wet fader.
