Dynamic Equalizing

Hello there, please help me with finding different appraches on achieving dynamic equalizing. are you using a vst for that purpose? Is there a renoise native way?

Native:
you could use one signal follower, then use its sidechain filters to pinpoint sidechain frequency, then use eq5/10 and link band that you want, and do exactly the same for multiple bands…

my 2 cents:
Another solution is TDR Nova. It’s free and it does the job (tho i have the Nova GE version, which is cheap for plugins like renoise is for averige price of a DAW (~for me ofc, everyone has personal favorites)

slick eq M (for more splatial control is a huge winner for busses/groups/master ~from my perspective)
Nova is great for either compressing or expanding -~- dynamics overall…
but i tend more to b

really depends on your goal - maybe you could layer some sounds to get desired result, or some parallel processing…

Cheers!

well, it’s still doable within the “native” way as i mentioned. It really depends on what you want to achieve.

I want a more subtle way of making room for drums on a rich synths sound than sidechaining. Basically I want nothing to overdrive with i play a pad in really low bass range while still keeping as much of its character
